Congratulations. Your song(s) have made the cut for this Fall's playlist for our Spotlight on Great Songs Show which starts airing this week. Our new additions include songs by Lindsay Mac, Ellen Cherry, Francesca de Valence, Amy Kuney, Dala, Margaret's Daughter, Lori Lieberman, Jeannine Hebb, Tori Sparks, Mara Levi and Broda along with the most popular songs from the summer playlist.

Yes, we actually made it to the 52nd Grammy Award ballot under six categories ! And for this I am so grateful! If anythng, it's like planting your flag down after reaching the summit and saying 'we were here'!

I want to thank everyone at NARAS and especially would like to thank the voting members who sent such wonderful, inspiring e-mails and voted for us!!!!!

Three consecutive nominations, two wins under the ”˜Rock Adult Contemporary’ category, three performances three years in a row at the NMMA (New Mexico Music Awards) all of which were garnered from this forthcoming CD. They have performed over the past few years at local festivals such as the Hyperactive Music Festival and most recently at this year’s Thirsty Ear Festival (on a bill with artists such as Keb’ Mo’, Bela Fleck and Steel Pulse).

Cristen thanks one and all who attended the CD release party July 31st!!

Interestingly enough I said we wouldn’t be gigging at all while we were recording — I guess I should know better, yes it hasn’t been very frequent but nonetheless, things have presented themselves while I was looking the other way. I’ve been tapped on the shoulder several times this summer by radio interview requests, a performance or two, an award show, and now two more polite taps on the shoulder - yes, excerpts from our previous radio interview on KUNM are going to become part of “Ear to the Ground” show on KUNM 89.9 on Saturday 8/16/08 at 7pm! Matthew Finch will be hosting the show, so if you missed the Freeform show with David Lescht last time, you have a second chance to at least catch some of the original interview!
